Duca Nero Extra brut 2022
Duca Nero Extra brut 2022
The Vajasindi Estate, on the slopes of Etna, is the place of native vines but is also the home of Pinot Noir, which today finds a new expression on this soil of volcanic origin. In fact, Duca Nero is born, the Pinot Noir made sparkling with the Charmat method, which combines elegance and freshness on the nose with a palate in which a unique minerality stands out.
Vintage: 2022
Contains sulfites.
Duca Nero, the result of the white processing of Pinot Noir vinified at low temperatures, is made into sparkling wine in an autoclave after the manual harvest at the end of August. The grapes are harvested at "early" ripeness, with high acidity and medium sugar content, from vines grown in counter-espalier fashion on volcanic soil. This land, unique in composition and rich in microelements, is what gives particularity to the vine which feels at ease here thanks to the altitude and the cold, dry climate.
Naturally ideal for an aperitif, it is also excellent to accompany a light meal. Try it with… Panelle.
