In Gin Sale, produced by the Bianchi company, the reduced alcohol content is enhanced by the savoriness of sea salt: a new composition of two products distant from each other in history and taste but united by quality and research is born. This has allowed us to create a pleasant-tasting drink and, if consumed correctly, in line with the principles that regulate the maintenance of good health."

Gin is an alcoholic beverage that owes its taste to juniper berries and was developed based on the drink Jenever, which is the traditional juniper-based liqueur born in Holland and Belgium. This drink began to become popular in the United Kingdom when the Dutch leader William of Orange occupied the Scottish and English thrones with his consort Mary.
William of Orange enacted statutes that encouraged the distillation of alcoholic beverages and the volume of gin produced soon surpassed that of beer.
And so British distilleries began to produce their own version of "Genever" and shortened the name to "Gin" giving life to a medicinal elixir that then developed into what we currently know, and love: Gin & Tonic.
Our Gin Sale is a pure juniper distillate, custom-made, like a tailor-made suit to which we have added a pinch of sea salt.
The production of this salt, which was once called WHITE GOLD, so rare, precious and important, amplified and increased over the centuries to such an extent as to give life to a real fleet of boats called "schifazzi" whose name seems to be the definition of "large boat", in fact in Sicily the so-called "Schifo" was defined as a boat, so "Schifazzo" was the largest one.
These boats transported salt along the Sicilian, Calabrian and Apulian coasts.
Today these places are a source of income and tourist attraction for our city of Marsala, a city known throughout the world also for its noble wine and for Garibaldi's landing.
These places represent a unique environmental heritage among the most characteristic of the Mediterranean.
It was the 80s when Mr. Pino Bianchi bought the largest of the "schifazzi" in the Mediterranean and transformed it from a salt transport vessel into an elegant pleasure craft.
He called it "Soledad", this vessel played an important role in the creative process of the Bianchi family's activities.
The lighthouse on the label is precisely what we see from the door of our Company and the sailing boat is the Soledad reproduced thanks to an old family photo.
Our Gin is the ideal companion for a surprisingly flavorful cocktail and thanks to the use of Salt it acquires a savory, elegant taste that can be enhanced by the addition of tonic, preferably with zero sugars or with Indian, and the classic slice of lemon or a sprig of burnt rosemary.
