Pattern of Sicily

Pattern of Sicily is a collection of original illustrations by Stefano Lo Voi that tells the story of Sicily through its most iconic symbols. Each subject begins as a hand-drawn illustration created using watercolor and ink, where the brushwork and transparency of the colors convey all the vitality of Sicilian tradition.

 

From lemons to pistachios, tomatoes to eggplants, octopuses to arancine, and finally roses dedicated to Saint Rosalia, each element is transformed into a pattern, a decorative motif capable of blending art, design, and identity.

 

The original artworks were subsequently reproduced as art prints in the 10.5 × 14.5 cm format, preserving the quality of the illustration intact. A compact format, ideal for collecting, gifting, or framing, making a project born from traditional painting accessible to everyone.
