Patron saint of Palermo and a symbol of profound devotion, Saint Rosalia is the figure who, more than any other, embodies the spiritual soul of Sicily.
According to tradition, her intervention freed the city from the plague in 1624, forever sealing the bond between the saint and the people of Palermo. Even today, her cult lives on in the Festino di Santa Rosalia, one of the island's most intense and iconic events.
Between faith, history, and legend, Rosalia represents rebirth, protection, and belonging: a timeless icon that continues to unite Sicily in its deepest imagination.
