In the deepest heart of the island, where the summers are hot and the winters mild, Duca di Salaparuta chooses to cultivate a vine much loved throughout Italy: Vermentino, from which Sentiero del Vento is born. Its Mediterranean aromas, of aromatic herbs and marine notes, and the broad and velvety palate, characterized by freshness and a light flavor, offer a new interpretation of the vine and embody the desire to travel new paths.

The wines of the Estates tell the visions of Duca di Salaparuta, the inevitable push to experiment and evolve by finding new keys to understanding the most well-known vines. Sentiero del Vento is the latest example of this vocation for oenological challenges. Traditionally cultivated above all in Liguria, Tuscany and Sardinia, Vermentino finds a new expression in Sicily, where the mixed limestone-siliceous soil, the mild winters and the hot and windy summers give it a new personality. To celebrate 200 years, Duca di Salaparuta chooses a new look for Sentiero del Vento thanks to the photography Sulla Battigia, by Bagheria artist Mimmo Pintacuda.
